Reporting & Executive Dashboard¶

Status: Planned — Phase 2 (P1). Turns Redmine operational data into leadership-ready insight. Built for organizations that outgrew built-in charts but do not want a separate BI stack just to explain project health.

The problem¶

Executives ask for SLA compliance, throughput, and bottleneck teams. Redmine admins export CSVs manually every Friday. Custom queries are powerful but opaque to non-Redmine users. PDF exports look dated and miss branding context.

Capabilities¶

Phase 1 — v1.0¶

• Executive dashboard: open vs closed trend, SLA breach count, aging buckets, top overloaded assignees
• Cycle time metrics: created → first response → resolved (configurable per tracker)
• SLA policies by tracker/priority with business-hours calendar
• Scheduled email reports (weekly/monthly) with PDF and CSV attachments
• Role-based dashboard visibility — managers see portfolio; teams see their projects
• Export templates: branded PDF header/footer (logo URL, company name)

Phase 2 — v1.x¶

• Custom widget builder (saved queries → dashboard tiles)
• Comparison mode: sprint-over-sprint or quarter-over-quarter
• Support queue analytics: first-response time, reopen rate

Phase 3 — future¶

• Read-only dashboard embed token for intranet iframes
• API endpoint for pushing summary metrics to external BI (no RedmineShop hosting)

Compatibility¶

Redmine 5.1.x and 6.x. Heavy queries cached with configurable TTL to protect DB performance on large instances.
